After spending the week trying to get motivated, I managed to accomplish some stuff! Two things are now off of my list.
Reuseable grocery bags are now up on Cozy Homewares, and the month’s advertising is now running.
Woop-de-do, huh… Still have to get those products into the Froogle feed, too, since the spiders aren’t yet convinced that that site should be king of the SERPs.
As for next week, I really need to quit stalling on getting the rest of the Escali stuff up. They’ve passed the test run and then some. Not to mention that their stuff looks cool

Nice, huh.

When I think of a garage, I think of a place to store my junk! Yeah, I know they’re supposed to be for cars or for working on projects in, but after living here all my life and seeing a car in the garage maybe once or twice, that’s just not the picture I get.
So when I found out about the site CarGuyGarage.com, it really stood out to me. They have all kinds of fancy garagey stuff, from lighting to cabinets and flooring. So THAT’S what some people do with their garages! Then I remember that yeah, I have seen some auto resto sites that showed fancy garage setups like that. And, I have a couple of neighbors who actually have a car in theirs, too. One of them even works on his vintage Mustang in his garage, which he has set up like a little auto shop.
One of the things that a “workshop” garage needs is good lighting. Most garages have only a little window to let in some light and air, like a dungeon. So if you’re going for a “fancy” garage, the first thing to do is get some garage lighting set up! CarGuyGarage suggests not only lighting it, but using an intelligent method of wiring it. They suggest using many lights, but setting them up on different switches. That way, if you just need to go in to grab something quick, you can turn on just one or two lights. But if you’re working in there, you can turn on all the lights so you can really see what you’re doing.
Maybe when I get my new Floridian manor, which won’t have had a chance to get filled with years’ worth of storage, I’ll make the garage into an actual, usable, workspace–complete with lots of light!

The other day I was sooo energetic! So motivated!
Today seems to exist to balance that out.
That site I redesigned hasn’t had an update since the 20th…the last thing I want to do is any gardening…heck even playing Rome sounds like work (probably because I just HAD to go and decide to make a blog out of a game of Rome…yeah RPGs written out are interesting, but it slows the game down to about 2 mph due to having to stop after every event and then write about it in the character’s voice).
I need coffee. And maybe some sugar, too.

Erm…
Today I had a hard time getting motivated, so I figured I’d try what I’ve heard of quite often: More coffee.
MAN I thought I’d stuck my hand onto a live wire for a while there! Geezzz…for someone still not too used to coffee, it was REALLY energizing!
On the other hand, I’d always wanted to be able to call up energy at will. So, I guess I’ve found a way. While still not as nice as when it comes naturally, it’s not so bad.
Especially after a couple of hours when the overchargedness dissipates…

It’s rainy and dreary today, and expected to keep on raining all day.
Which is good. It means I won’t have to go out and plant! Or water!
That said, I’m not going to turn this into a do-nothing day like I usually would. I’m going to keep at that affiliate marketing sales site I redesigned yesterday.
I got the theme onto it, after messing with several different ones, which took longer than I expected. Red isn’t a good color for selling stuff, but when I tried to blue-en the template, it looked pretty bad, so I ended up with red for now anyway. At least with the new blog format, if I see a nicer-looking template available, I can put it on without having to redo the whole site!
In any case, today I need to write more sales pages. It should be interesting to see how traffic is affected.

I have the trait of getting spurts of industriousness. Most of the year I prefer to do a minimum of w*rk…note the asterisk giving away my opinion of it. And I think it sucks because it seems a lot harder for me than for most people. Imagine having to spend 10,000 times the effort that the rest of the place spends, and you get what I usually experience. Yeah sux!! But the point of this post isn’t to whine, because a Spurt of Industriousness has kicked in.
A couple times a year, I’ll get a huge spurt of energy good for aiming at productive activity! In fact, if I didn’t aim it at productive activity, I’d probably end up climbing the walls!!
And this is one of those times. Yesterday I put up 28 posts on my game blog (scheduled so they don’t all show up at once, of course), and slated for today is a site redesign on a sales site, and I updated my deals blog, and I might even put some more flowers in.
Is it that I finally have been getting out into the sun? They say that sunshine is actually necessary for humans (it causes increased vitamin D production, among other good things)…
Dunno. But I know I’d better jump on this train while it’s here, because it only comes around once every few months.
